July Update

Happy July!

I can't believe we are already gearing up for a fresh school year with brand new student leaders. Equally as exciting is that there is a whole new group of college students coming our way in the fall!

This is the time of year I begin praying for the freshman (or older students) that we will meet that precious first week of school. This is the time of year I remember my own divine meeting in the cafe during lunch the second day of school with a campus missionary. This is the time of year I am always drawn to gratitude and thankfulness for my years in college.

What lives may God be already planning to reveal himself to through campus missionaries & student leaders in Fall 2026. Fall 2017 was my freshman year, join me in praising God for the work he has done at UTA in those nine years & the work I am confident he will continue to do in the next nine. Thank you for supporting reaching college students at UTA- you are truly such a vital part of what God has done & I thank God for you!

Summer TNF:

The picture above is from Summer TNF last week- this is a time when all our FOCUS campuses come together & meet for a TNF service over the summer. This is such a special time to get to be with our broader community. This is a time that only comes once a year so I cherish it when it's here.

We are doing a series on maturity this summer. I wanted to share an idea from this series that I've been thinking about a lot.

Age is how much time God gives you, maturity is what you do with that time. Of course this comes with the caveat that how you spend your time is only mature if it is shaped by love of God & His people. This was sticking out to me because often I see students have definitions of maturity that revolve around age, financial status, expression of emotion, education, or knowledge. Which can all be things that any christian exercises with maturity- but they themselves don't make one mature in Christ. Jesus is the ultimate expression of complete maturity.

Support Raising Update:

I just wanted to include the graphic below to give you an update on where I am at with support raising for the year. I am so thankful for the ways you pray & faithfully support my work- if you know anyone who would be interested in hearing about what I do I would love to connect with them. Join me in praying God would connect me with people who will make it possible for me to be a campus missionary for a long time.

Until next month,
Sophie
