May Update

Welcome Back & Thank You!

I can't believe we are here again, another school year in the books. This year has been such a whirlwind of change and transition but I'm thankful for your steadfast through it! It's an immense privilege and gift to have the steadiness of your prayers & support when much here is undergoing metamorphosis.

This year I've transitioned to Arlington's team lead along side my co-pastor Rhett, and that has been a journey! Aside from just learning the new role, we were figuring out our ministries new normal after our ministry's founder and long term leader moved to another campus. Next year Rhett will be transitioning to TCU full time to lead the ministry plant out there. Be in prayer for him as he leads that & for myself and our Arlington team as we continue to work towards long term stability of our staff here.

I wanted to ask for prayer as I am once again entering fundraising season, pray that God continues to connect me with people who will make ministry at UTA possible for a long time. I am sitting at about 70% fundraised which is a bit lower than I have started in previous years, I will give you more detailed updates on this in the summer. I am thankful for your already present generosity & prayers!

Again your faithfulness & steadfastness is a profound gift to our students & I.

A Month in Pictures:

This was one of the busiest months of the school year other than August, so I have a TON of pictures to share, hope you enjoy these :)

This is Melanie, one of our corefas! She's the best, I am so thankful for her love for God & the world around her. When it's bluebonnet season in Texas you have to take a pic!

This is Sophia!! This is when we finished our weekly bible, earlier this month. She has been one of the most exciting people to meet with this year. Sophia is a deep thinker with a large heart for people, I am excited to see what God will do with her in the years to come.

This is from an annual event called '72 Hours of Prayer'. All the campus ministries at UTA unify to pray for our campus, the church and the world for 72 continuous hours. Each day ending with a worship night, this is from the closing service.

This is from our final fellowship night for the year! Students would not stop worshiping, after worship officially ended they spontaneously encored multiple songs haha. So cool to see this generations fervor for God and community.

Precious, one of our corefas having a great time at a line dancing night :)

Sarah(left) one of our senior corefas,  and Olivia (right) one of our freshman going to SICM! These girls are the best and are such neat examples of the heart of God. Sarah will be a pastoral apprentice in the fall at UTA, and Olivia will be returning to UTA in the fall looking to be a missionary to her peers on campus. Be praying for them both as they continue to figure out their next step as disciples and leaders.

Thank you for making this ministry possible!

Until next month,

Sophie
