April Update
HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SPRING!
Hopefully the last few weeks had more enjoyable weather for you, I know that has definitely been the case for us in Arlington. Springtime & the Easter season are such a beautiful & meaningful time to enjoy & meditate on the life of Jesus and the fullness of life He promises. Jesus has given an inconceivable gift of life through his death. I am praying for encouragement, reverence & excitement in your faith in around this unfathomable truth in this sacred season. I am praying God makes it abundantly clear to you where He wishes to bring newness of life to you, may we all take Him up on His offer to us.
Thank you for your unwavering & passionate support and prayers as I try to bring this life to UTA. You are a crucial part of what God is doing here.
SENT INTO THE WORLD
The picture above is actually an album cover! This school year our pastors have tried our hands at song writing for our students & "Sent Into The World" is our theme song this semester. Give it a listen- all the instrumentalists & vocalists are students which makes it even more special to us.
Our theme for this semester is: Outward! This is all about living as though we are sent into the world just as Jesus was, because we as disciples are! This brings our theme from last semester to it's completion, which is why we chose it. Last semester we talked all about finding life in Jesus alone, unless we are then compelled to go out into the world as Jesus was, I don't think we have truly seen Jesus for all He is- Son of God, Bread of life, Living Water. We are trying to heat up to our students that just like Paul on the road to Damascus, when you have an encounter with the living God you go tell the world "At once!".
Acts 9:3;20:
" As he (Paul) neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?”. “Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked.“I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,”........ At once he began to preach in the synagogues that Jesus is the Son of God."
