January Update
| Our Christmas Formal theme this year was "Christmas at the Oscars"- each core submitted a 90 sec skit, this was the winning group for best costume :) |
Merry Christmas Y'all!
Popping in a little early to update you on the end of the school year, unbelievably another semester has already come & gone! Thank you for your continued prayers & support for another year, all of these students have directly been impacted by your generosity & faithfulness. This year has been full of large transitions for our ministry & myself personally. I've taken over leading our Arlington team with my co pastor Rhett, and our ministry grew by about 40% this year. Regularly on a Thursday night we will have 140 college students gathering to worship God, and about 180 meeting through out the week in small groups!! God is working at UTA, thank you for partnering with me so these students may know Him. Lives are being changed and hearts are turning to God in this generation, I pray this is an encouragement to you.
End of the Semester:
This time of year is always fun because we get to celebrate with our leaders & our ministry what God has done this school year so far! Below are some pictures of the party we planned for our corefas. My co-pastor Graham & I made up a game we call "Family Frenzy"! We split our leader team into 'families' of 5 or 6 and play a bunch of made up mini games with them. You'll notice some of them have aprons on, those are the 'grandmas' of the family, or mustaches- they are the 'dads' of the family. Each student has a role in the family haha. This is just a silly way to have fun with our team, celebrate their hard work, and unwind before finals start!
Our leaders this year have been some of the most sweet natured and devoted students we have ever had lead. Be praying they rest well over break and for continued confidence, energy, and devotion as they come back next semester.
We also have our Christmas formal to celebrate with our whole ministry! This is during the dance party :)
10 Years of FOCUS:
Until next month,
Sophie
