December Update

 Happy Thanksgiving Week!

Praying that you get some restful time this week with people you love. You are such a consistent and present reminder to me of God's love and faithfulness especially in this time of year. Thank you for being someone who regularly reminds me of our steadfast God. I really believe your heart is with me in the ups and downs of ministry, not just sending support from afar but praying, rejoicing, and grieving with me. Thank you for your partnership in ministry, it is truly treasured beyond what my vocabulary can express.

The main update I wanted to share with you from this past month was our semesterly event- Pizza Theology! This is an event that we put on every semester as an opportunity for our students intellectual  maturity to be challenged. Our staff will bring in speakers who get to speak to our college students about some topic pertaining to their faith at a collegiate level. It's so important to me that as much as our students pursue their academic studies at a university level, they also follow the greatest commandment to love the Lord with all their heart, soul, and MIND. This is just a chance to do that.

This month we brought in a seminary professor named Rikk Watts from Regent College, and he spoke to our students about the book of John! Something I've heard a number of students chewing on afterwards is this: Rikk said- "A perfect world is actually a prison, but a good world is one that gives human the chance to do something significant". Rikk was talking about how Jesus came to give life, his title for this seminar was "Its about life!". I think this idea of perfection not being what we ought to chase after, is what is such good news & brings so much freedom for them.

The final thing I want to share about again is Keep Focus Growing, details are below:

Thank you for how generous you already are, if you feel led to give here is the link: Click here

Until next month,

Sophie
